Barbara Barden said there are new insurance requirements for van drivers. They will be required to:
1. Obtain a Commercial Drivers License or,
2. Obtain a Chauffeur’s License or
3. Complete an “on-line” Defensive Driving Course satisfactorily. This would be the easiest for us to accomplish and to get volunteers to complete.
She has a list of drivers that she will update. There may be other options such as replacing the vans with mini-buses or considering charter service for some events. The date for compliance is now 12/3 1/02. She has asked for a one-year extension.
