HELLO, ALL!

LAST WEEK
Through the snow, and an occasional patch of ice, 37 turned out to hear Ace Walker begin the review of The Transformation of American Religion.  Ace asked if I had read the book after I had answered a couple of his questions.  I had to admit I had not read the book; however, I have been accumulating the knowledge about what was happening in my more than 50 years as a pastor, educator, and General Board staff member.

We welcomed Rea & Gerald Baxter as new class members!

Jack Copeland had some beautiful pictures from his mission to Chile.  You will hear more about that service project soon.

March 6 - SPIRITUAL LIFE RETREAT at Myers Park UMC begins at 9:00 a.m. in Francis Chapel under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Zan Holmes, Dallas, TX.  The retreat will conclude at noon.  Make a reservation at 704-376-5520. ext. 5250.

THIS WEEK

IN OUR PRAYERS

Virginia & Willard Gourley continue to recuperate successfully!

Len Chason is recuperating; Ellen Chason had successful cataract surgery.

Mel Halpern had stitches out this week; he will soon be able to put his foot down!  Watch out!  Cristina Halpern is the caregiver needing our prayers, too!

See you Sunday!
