REMEMBER

>Dorothy Bridgeman and her sister; each one needs our prayers as each has some health problems.

>Carl Hawn writes: "I never fully appreciated MPUMC as I should, until we left Charlotte.  It is truly a wonderful church."  Carl enclosed a check for a special project. A card or letter will reach Carl and Fran at 100 Silver Beach Avenue, Unit 814, Daytona Beach, FL 32118.

>Does anyone remember Jerry & Nancy Clapp from about 20+ years ago when they moved to Greensboro?  They have just moved into Aldersgate Retirement Community and plan to return to Myers Park UMC.  I'll try to have an address and telephone number by Sunday.

LAST WEEK

>>Another great lesson as Marie Pearce concluded the review of THE CREED by Luke Timothy Johnson.  We had a great class, especially considering that it was the first day of Daylight Saving Time!  By the way, the book is in the Libraryand is ready to be checked out and read!

>>Dr. Peter Storey preached the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services, and lectured Sunday night!  You can purchase a copy of his book in Goodness Gracious!

>>Maundy Thursday service had an attendance of 300+; Good Friday service had probably 200+!  Hope you were there!

THIS WEEK

>>>4/11 ~ "Changing Death into Victory" will be the topic as Don Hammer uses the International Lessons to focus our attention on the meaning of Easter.

>>>4/12 ~ The Church offices will be closed.

>>>4/13 ~ The Adults Plus! Day Trip to CPCC for dinner, followed by a trip to the Raptor Center, will be enjoyed by 40 of us!

>>>4/17 ~ The Raleigh Ringers, a nationally-known handbell choir, will be presenting a program on Saturday at First United Methodist Church.  The Ringers have the largest collection of bells in the States.  Admission?  Bring canned goods for the Harvest Food Bank and you can get in!  The program begins at 7:30 p.m.

LOOKING AHEAD

>>>>4/18 & 4/25 ~ William Webb and Lou Bledsoe will challenge the class with the review of Anthony B. Robinson's TRANSFORMING CONGREGATIONAL CULTURE.  I am sure that Goodness Gracious will be happy to sell you a copy for your own personal growth.

>>>>5/3-7/04 ~ The Adults Plus! Spring Trip into Delaware to see beautiful gardens and magnificent homes has a green light!  If you would like to go, check with Nancy Holmes in the Adult Education Office as soon as possible.

HAPPY EASTER!
