See you Sunday!

June 20, 2004

REMEMBER:  In your thoughts and prayers these folks, others you know, and especially their caregivers

>BIRTHDAYS this week:  Ann Copeland (20th), Rea Baxter (25th)

>Randy Harris is receiving Hospice care at home.

>Others you know…

LAST WEEK:

>>Class attendance was almost a full house last Sunday.

>>The Ownbey Class established a presence in Minnesota while saying Farewell to Ginny & Wes Soule. Their new address: 5590 Norwich Parkway, Apt. 413, Oak Park Heights, MN 55082.

>>Gaston Gage did well concluding our review of Revelation following the service of farewell.  It is certain that all who attended all three weeks have earned the right to claim the degree of S.E.B.R. (Semi-Expert-in-the-Book of Revelation) that Carol Douglas suggested we had earned(?).

>>Class voted to observe the two educational opportunities featuring Ellen Robison on July 4th and Steve James on July 11th in Jubilee Hall.  The class will not meet in our classroom prior to assembling in Jubilee Hall, but look for a group of class members somewhere near the coffee pot.

>>The Curriculum Committee met on Wednesday night and planned the curriculum offerings for the next quarter.  Copies of the projected curriculum are included in this email.

>>At the Adults Plus! picnic last Wednesday Billie Uses The Knife shared an up-to-date look at life in the Lakota Indian Mission area, expressing great appreciation for our support and gifts.

THIS WEEK: 6/13-19/04

>>>6/20 ~Third Sunday after Pentecost, Father’s Day, Summer Solstice & 1st Day of Summer.  (No wonder it is HOT!)

>>>6/20 ~ Durward Owen will introduce the first of four sessions reviewing Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis.  Take advantage of checking out one of the several copies in the Library so you can discuss the book with some understanding.

>>>Invite a FRIEND to come to class with YOU this Sunday!
