The MYERS PARK UMC SUNDAY SCHOOL time is 9:45 - 10:35 a.m.

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL SPECIAL: Check in with Nhora Moreno before heading to Jubilee Hall where Dr. Ben Witherington III will be teaching the combined Sunday School class!

>>Oct. 31 ~ Chick Thompson explored some of the thoughts of theologian Reinhold Niebuhr from THE ESSENTIAL REINHOLD NIEBUHR: Essays and Addresses edited by Robert McAfee Brown.  Good job!

>>Nov. 3  ~ An Ownbey Class Helping Hands Team worked at MedAssist on Central Avenue.  Making the trip were Skip & Ruth Heintzelman, Eleanor Harris, Bob & Marilea Grogan, Dorothy Bridgeman, and Connie Owen.&nbs p; Preparing a mass mailing and checking in drugs were the major efforts.  This is another project that needs attention more than once!  Giving yourself in service gives you a good feeling!

·         Andrew Lister’s THE ANGRY CHRISTIAN: A Theology of Anger, the book reviewed by Barbara Barden is in the Library unless someone has beaten you to it and checked it out!

·         IN MY MOTHER’S KITCHEN by Robin Edgar has been put on the shelf in the Library.  To find out more about reminiscence and its healing power, come to the Adults Plus! meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 17th, at 10:30 a.m.

Books already checked out may be put on reserve; you will be notified when they are returned!
