Ownbey Update

 

Don't forget our second Charlotte Cafe dinner this Wednesday at 6:00.  In case you missed the first dinner, Charlotte Cafe is located in the Park Road Shopping Center.  We need to give the restaurant the number of those who will be attending by Monday.  There is a clipboard in the class that you may sign on Sunday or e-mail me by Monday if you will be attending.

 

Projects:

 

Applesauce - this is an ongoing project and the box is "emptied" at the end of each month.  Keep unsweetened applesauce on your shopping list.

 

Troop Support

Jim will be packing the boxes next Thursday.  We still need calling cards and disposable sunglasses.  Other items that you may consider are DVDs, portable games, and heavy duty black or green socks.  The Freedom School students will write and illustrate letters for us to place in each box.  Correspondence from you will also be appreciated.  Lists of needed items are in the class if you need other suggestions.  This effort will also be ongoing. 

 

Sorry to report that Connie has broken a bone in her foot and is now in a cast.  The July 25 surgery is still scheduled.  Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
