#4> (2008.02.16) Video of Cast "a" and Cast
"b"
The "a" has Jules in
it. Usually this will run after you click on the picture and then click
again and/or "enter" and/or push the space bar. They have black icons
because it starts black
so I arranged it with the "a" Cast first and then the "b" cast. Do not
give up if it doesn't work the first time. Try a few times and let me
know if you still cannot get to play. It uses a format called "flv" and
you might need to get a "codec" for it to play; let me know and we will
figure it out.

#7> (3/20/08) A bigger file of the audition (2008.02.16) http://www.donredding.com/20080216.toobigforsmug.mpg
This should play in Windows Media Player (or Real Player).
On your XP computer, copy the link below. Open Windows Media Player
and then click on the "file" menu and get to the "open
URL" and click and paste in the address. This worked on my Xp
whereas on my Vista it opens just by clicking on the link, but not in
XP.The file is about 305 mg which will take some time to load (10
minutes
+/-) although if your cache/buffer is working, it might begin playing
soon after enough has downloaded. Be patient and give it time
to open even if the computer does not seem to be doing anything. Just
now it took my computer 2 minutes before it began playing and it might
take longer on yours since it has played before on mine. The original
DVD VOB file was 800mg
and the ones we have tried before are 30mg+/ so this might be better as
it is bigger than we used before..
After the first playing, subsequent playing might be faster loading.

which I received 3/21/08 The file is almost 200 MG. I find I cannot play in Windows Media Player , but RealPlayer does it nicely, version 11, which is available at http://realplayer.com/
I have to open Realplayer, then click "file "and "open" and then paste the http://www.donredding.com/20080216nickcasta.mp4 address in. Takes 4 minutes +/- on my Vista computer; will advise later of the XP results.

#1> Here is a link to the Photos - on Jules' Smugmug - of the Audition by Ms. Autry. As you know, try different "styles." Also, I think you can add comments which I will see before they show to the public, if you want to make notes on any.

Hello Don. I'm making Mpeg vids of the casts right now, and I'll bring
them over to Jules ASAP and that might be what you need. I think then
you can just take those off the CD and put them into a site or
something else. I'll drop them off as soon as I can. Thanks!

Thanks Jules, and hello Nick. Would appreciate your help.
I am using Roxio after I use another program to convert the VOB to something Roxio will use, and all this takes a long time. Converting to wmv or mpg (1 to 4) drops the size for 7 1/2 minutes from 150mg to 30 mg (I split the "a" and "b" parts as I have a 10 minute limit per video on the web sites). Then it takes forever to upload to Smugmug or PhotoBucket and then the quality is poor. I cannot imagine how one would send up regular dvd files. Oh well, my work is ok for short, small pictures but not up to (jules') professional standards.
Let me know what you suggest.
I assume Jules sent you a link to my work, in case not - here it is

Try this and tell me what happens .
If this works, I would be interested in how the dvd one is better.
