HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL '55 BLUE COMETS FROM ASHEBORO, THE ICE STORM CAPITAL!!

Hopefully, all of you had a blessed Christmas and are ready to embrace this year with optimism and love.  Also, we hope you're ready for a special lunch at Eagle Springs.  Delores Kirkman Lewis has arranged a wonderful lunch (salad, meat, veggies, dessert, and drink) for us at one of her favorite places, The Inn at Eagle Springs, 1813 Samarcand Road, at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 23 (Changed to 1/30/03 because of more ice).  We HOPE many of you will make plans to join classmates for a few hours of fellowship and fun.  The cost is $12 (this includes tip).  The owner has to know several days in advance what the number will be so Janet NEEDS to have your money by Monday, January 20.  One check will be written to cover entire cost.  In case of inclement weather, money will be returned.  In other cases, however, once you commit, you commit.  There may be room for a few extra at the last minute, but basically we have to have a firm number for the owner. Janet has included directions from RaleighCharlotte, and Asheboro.  We urge you to carpool so you can get caught up on class news to share.  Be sure to send your check to her (ASAP) at 307 Bossong DriveAsheboroNC27205.  Phone number is (336) 629-0618 for Diana and 336 629- 7091 for Janet.

We sincerely hope you will try to join us for this mini-reunion.  Ray Hayworth's death has reminded us of our own mortality and the tenuousness of lifeLet's take this opportunity to celebrate the lives of beloved classmates who are no longer with us and embrace each other with kindness and love.

We want to see lots of you in Eagle Springs on the 23rd. (Changed to 1/30/03 because of more ice.) Please try to come.

Blue Comet Love........Diana and Janet

P.S.  Thank you, Delores!!!!!!
