HEALTH AND HAPPINESS POLICY

Definitions

Active Member: Any person listed on the class roster.

Immediate Family: Parent, sibling, spouse, child, or any person living in the household of an Active Member.

Immediate Household: Immediate Family still

living in household of an Active Member.

Shut-In: An Active Member or member of his/her Immediate Family who cannot attend class due to an incapacity.

Extended Family: Parents may be placed on the Extended Family list by an Activce Member.

Death in the Immediate Family

Meal coordinator will arrange for a meal to be provided at a time and place designated by the family.

The class will also contribute a $20 memorial gift to the Project Fund. transferring the money from the General Class Fund.

Death of an Active Member

In addition to the class contributing $20 from the General Class Fund into the Project Fund, one of our class hymnals will be designated as a memo­rial to our classmate. An appropriate nameplate will acknowledge this.

Illness of an Active Member

When an Active Member or person in the Immediate Household is in the hospital or confined at home by an extended illness, a card will be sent, and meal arrangements, visiting schedules, etc. will be explored to offer help in any way we can.

Shut-Ins and Extended Family

Cards will be sent to Shut-Ins and Extended Family throughout the year birthday, holidays, thinking of you, etc. We will also send flowers or a Plant at Christmas.

Funding

Funds for cards, stamps, etc. will come from the General Class Fund. A separate collection will be taken up if the need arises.

Visitors

Visitor follow-up will be handled by the Class President card, phone call, etc.
