Don: If any one wants access to e-mail to keep up with Ownbey class and church news, and does not have a computer, they can try "e-mail byphone" offered by Earthlink. They offer a free trial . You dial in from anyphone and a computer voice will read you your e-mail. If you like it, after the trial they charge $4.95/month for service.
Much better for the non-computer person, though is "Mail Station".
alo offered by earthlink.
These are simple keyboard and screen devices that let you send and
receive e-mail ,
On a "Good" Better" Best" basis they offer mdels # 150,250 and
350.
Th first one "Mail station "150" costs only $49.95" and lets
you send and receive basic e- mail . You plug into a phne jack and type
messages to send and read incoming messages on a screen.
For a little more you get their "Mailstation 250" ($99.00) which provides
a lot more services than just plain text mail. Monthly rates for both models
are . $9.95.
The "Mails Station" 350 has lots of Bells and whistles and sells for, I think $150. Service is also $9.95/month. This one sends and receives photos .
