Re:  Moves and Room Usage

Date:   January 16, 2003

A copy of this letter in addition to being mailed to each Sunday School class president has also been placed in each Sunday School box in the main office. Please make sure the information is shared with your class this Sunday, January 19.

Furniture and supplies, appropriately boxed and marked, will be moved to your new room ready for your use by Sunday, Feb. 2. Anything not marked or boxed will be properly disposed of following this Sunday. All of our colored fiberglass chairs will be removed and replaced with the black chairs used in Church In The Round. Other chairs will move with their class. Be sure to mark any tables, nametag holders, podiums, etc. that you also would like to move with you. I ask that you be patient as we try to arrange for adequate storage for each class. The new spaces are great but they do not have bulletin boards, or cabinets yet. The plans for these are in process. Until then your marked container will be used. There are dry erase boards in the rooms! Please erase the board before you leave your classroom.

It continues to be important that all of your supplies and materials be appropriately stored during the week as many groups use all spaces. There have been questions concerning the use of kitchen spaces and food/beverage service. The following statements address these. Please read them carefUlly.

Use of the new kitchen that is located on the lower floor of the youth building across from the gym is limited and does not include use of the stove. The stove was put in only temporarily to meet specific needs of Room In the Inn. The space does not meet the requirements necessary for a stove to be used at any other time. Our old kitchen will be renovated and made available including a stove for classes and groups. There is an icemaker in the refrigerator in the small kitchen in-the youth building and there is a large ice machine in our new kitchen off Jubilee Hall. You are welcome to get your own ice to bring to your meeting space but are asked to empty any container you use and return it to the place you got it from.

Any food/drinks brought in for gathering needs to be removed by you immediately following your meeting time. You need to provide your own paper products. All trash should be disposed of in the trashcans provided. We no longer can use staff time to provide beverage or ice setups or cleanups. Thank you for your attention to this important matter. We want our new spaces to be clean and comfortable for each group using them.

To schedule rooms for any time other than your regular meeting time or to reserve a

TV/I/CR or other equipment contact Tori Collins at toric~mpumc.org or call 704-295-

Our Adult Education offices will move to the new building next week. We will be located on the main floor down the hail to the right when you enter the front of the building. Sunday School CJasses Moving at this time:
