Dear Ownbey Class,
We are all most grateful to Harriette and to the
Gossetts for what I hear was a lovely Garden Party last Sunday. I'm so
sorry that I was out of town and missed it. I appreciate Janie's filling in for
me on Sunday morning.
Be sure to write June 11th at 6:00 on your
calendar to remind you that we will meet at Charlotte Cafe to eat on that
evening. Durward and Connie are arranging that for us. A sign-up
sheet will be on the clipboard on Sunday.
Madeleine Stanford has a birthday next week on June
7th. Happy Birthday, Madeleine!!!
The discussion leader will be Rose Hamid, who I
believe is still flying as an airline stewardess. She wears her
Moslim headdress and is sometimes mistaken for a nun. This is a good
chance for us to ask someone, who grew up Baptist, what attracted her to
the Muslim faith and how she really feels about terrorists, etc.
