Dear
Mr. Redding,
I
haven't spoken to you about the Redding Family History since April of 1991.
I have continued to do research long distance on the family and related
lines. My Aunt from Seattle and myself have now gotten the opportunity
to come spend a week in Randolph County and spend some time researching.
To
refresh your memory, my Aunt Gerry is the Granddaughter of Joseph Arlendo
Redding and I am the great-granddaughter I so want to meet you on
this trip down and see the Padding Cemetery and your home place. We plan.
on coming about. September 10, 1993. We will be staying in Climax with
some cousins on the Sheron side of the family. I want to spend time in
the library and digging up some needed records. On our last visit we had
gathered photos, family stories, articles, etc. But after close examination
of the Redding/Trogdon line find we are shy a few things we need to have
for proofs.
My
biggest hole on my research is John & Martha Jane (Swaim) Redding.
our common relative. I seem to have filled my chart with dates and no proofs
- off of which to say I know for sure. So want to work real hard on that.
I
hope you will be in the area at this time and have a few hours to spend
with us. It's great meeting everyone. We didn’t grow up in NC and yet when
we have visited and met relatives in the past it sure feels like home.
I
have enclosed a self addressed stamped envelope in hopes that you will
get back to me and let me know if our getting together is possible.
Sincerely
Pamela N. Kennedy
