I
figure the way it is in Scotland is the RIGHT way. I've enclosed a few
other papers that I thought might be of interest to you.
What
stories might have you heard concerning Joseph or Robert Reding being in
the Revolutionary War, or the war, soldiers in their area there in Randolph..
.
I
have been trying to get information on the Cullpeper Rebellion and see
if any of our early Redding’s participated in that. But being in the North,
libraries, etc. don't carry much about war events of the south. Like with
the Revolutionary war, they make one think that it all took place in Boston
and Connecticut, and a bit in Virginia. I found this prejudice a year ago,
and have been amazed. After my visit I looked and looked for literature
to do with the Guilford Courthouse Battle and there is zip here!! I think
this is a real crime.
.
I've
been trying to get things on inter library loan, but find that resource
books are almost always never to leave the library they are in. So I find
that to be a joke!! Who cares about getting a novel interlibrary loan...
.
Well,
I've
asked you way too many questions as it is. I'm so anxious to meet you.
I so hope I'll be able to come again this year!
Sincerely,
Pamela
