A) Articles of Religion
1)Article 10—Of Good Works. Although good works, which are the fruits of faith, and follow after justification, cannot put away our sins, and endure the severity of God's judgment; yet are they pleasing and acceptable to God in Christ, and spring out of a true and lively faith, insomuch that by them a lively faith may be as evidently known as a tree is discerned by its fruit.

2)The 25 Articles of Religion were written by John Wesley for the Discipline of 1808. According to Mark Edwards, "you cannot be a Methodist without believing them all.

4)Attendance 2002: Errors reporting attendance last year (omitted 4 of the 5 weeks in 9/02). Reatha still is 2002 champion, and Lumadues still in second place, but Harold tied them. The average for 2002 was 33.7 for the year instead of the 30.8 reported. Averages are: 1997 (36.17), 1998 (35.16), 1999 (36.18), 2000 (36.12), 2001 (34.77), and 2002 (33.7). 

5)Thanks for gorgeous Easter music. Thanks to Greeters Dorothy Bridgeman, Mel and Cristina, and Carol Douglas Easter Sunday. Bill and Marie and Gaston and Jane help 4/27. Thanks to the Chasons for hosting our Fourth of July party. Thanks to Ellen Chason, Don Hammer, Skip Heintzelman, and Judy Stinson for agreeing to serve on the Project Committee. Let them have suggestions. Thanks to Reatha, Nora and son Oscar for helping Spring Service day.

8)Schedule revised to hear Ben Witherington iii 5/25 talk on his book, The Brother of Jesus . It discusses the recently discovered ossuary which is said to contain the bones of Jesus' brother James. Jim Walters’ 5/18 Sanctuary session moves to the last half of the year. Willard from 5/25 to 5/18.

9)Thanks to Don H for last week's unique and interesting presentation to get to the punch line of the Resurrection.
