7) Year End Giving – A member is giving the church some appreciated
stock and will designate a portion of it to our Helping Hands Project
Committee. The Business office can keep up with this and easily make this allocation by issuing
a check to Ownbey. The giver wants to remind class members of this type giving
and hopes it will encourage other class members to do the same. As many of you
know, there are a number of ways to give to the church, other than in cash,
with tax advantages for the giver. More later on this. Pick up a booklet on this 11/23 and also
see section in Ownbey Handbook.
8) Curriculum Meeting,
¨
Don Hammer, 2004
Chair of Curriculum Committee, surveyed the teachers for suggestions prior to
the meeting 11/06. A questionnaire will be given to the members later for their
ideas.
¨
A Schedule for the
first three months of 2004 has been developed and will be available after 11/16
9) Nametags –Do
we keep using them, and if so, do we have any suggestions for who should be the
“keeper of the Tags.” Give Don or Bill your feedback.
